- Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
- French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD)
- Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)
- Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS)
The SWM Programme is an Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) initiative, which is being funded by the European Union with co-funding from the French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM) and the French Development Agency (AFD).
WORKING TOGETHER
Local Communities
Respectful, participatory and long-term engagement with indigenous peoples and local communities is essential.
Government Authorities
Representatives from the government authorities in the pilot countries are key partners.
Urban Consummers
Reducing demand for wild meat in towns and cities, where it is typically eaten as a luxury or traditional food, is a priority.
The SWM Programme mobilizes an international group of partners with expertise and experience in wildlife conservation, food security and policy development. It is being implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS).
