Article 6: By State Order the Nature Conservation Commission will be heard to determine which animal species belong to "game", "cage animal species" and to the "predominant harmful animal species ", where hunting is authorized under certain conditions.
Article 4: In the interest of protecting the fish stock, the Minister may lay down rules regarding the number and the species intended for fishing rods and / or hand lines, as well as the numbers of fish, to be determined separately for each species if necessary, which, may be captured or killed during a period open to fishing for such fish species.
Article 2:
(2) "Game" includes the animal species listed in Annex II.
(3) The "cage animal species" includes those listed in Annex III.
Article 3:
(1) The hunting of game and cage animal species is authorized during the times specified in Annexes II and III.

Article 15: It is prohibited to import or transit the wild animals as well as eggs, eggshells, alive or dead, prepared or not, or derivate, when these are illegally obtained, prepared or transported, exported from the country of export, unless the contrary is proofed.
It is prohibited to trade, import, introduce from the Sea, transit, export and transport of dead and living animals, as well as parts or products thereof, including eggs of endangered species which are regulated by international agreements which Suriname is party to.
Article 2:
The goods whose import or export is prohibited, subject to a license or otherwise restricted, are listed on the Negative List that is included as an annex to this State Order.

Article 6: Trade of Fish products which are endangered species on the CITES list is prohibited
Article 2:
1. Other "protected animal species" include those listed in Annex I.
2. "Game" includes the animal species listed in Annex II.
3. The "cage animal species" includes those listed in Annex III.
4. The "predominantly harmful animal species" includes those listed in Annex IV.
Article 7: The import, introduction from sea, transit or export of game and cage animals, their parts or products, including eggs, are permitted only under the following conditions:
a.the maximum numbers of animals (quota) that may be used per year for the above activities for both commercial and non-commercial purposes are determined by the Director or the Head as his designated replacement.
b. import, introduction from the sea, transit or export of the above mentioned animals as well as parts or products thereof, including eggs, is only permitted with a license issued by the Drector or the Head as his designated deputy. The conditions in the licenese can further be specified.

Article 16: Violation of one of the articles of this law or the decisions taken pursuant to this law is punishable by imprisonment of no more than 3 months or a fine of no more than ten thousand guilders.
Not punishable is anyone who violates one of the articles of this law or the regulations established by virtue of this law for the necessary and direct protection of his own or another person or property.
Article 17: The investigating officers are at all times authorized to seize susceptible objects. They can demand their extradition for this purpose.
Article 18: In case of conviction for any act contrary to the provisions of article 8, article 13 or contrary to any regulation given pursuant to article 10, article 11 and 12, a period of 6 months commencing on the day on which the judgment is final the convicted person will have no authority to hunt and the convict's hunting license will be revoked.
Article 20:
1. A person who, in the performance of an act referred to in Article 1(2), acts contrary to the provisions of or pursuant to Article 3(2) and (3), Articles 12 and 13, shall be punishable by a prison sentence of not more than 3 years or a fine of not more than 6,000,000 (six million) guilders.
2. In the case of a prison sentence, the court may also impose a fine and forfeit the seized property.

Article 10 (6): A hunting license (jachtacte)or license, in the possession of those who, pursuant to the provisions of art.18 in which the power to hunt has been denied, is being revoked.
Article 16: Violation of any of the articles of this Act or the decisions taken pursuant to this Act shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding three months or a fine not exceeding ten thousand guilders.
Not punishable is he who violates this Act for immediate protection of their own or another's person or property.
Article 17: The investigators are at all times entitled to seize susceptible objects.
They can do request their delivery.
Article 18: In case of conviction for any act contrary to the provisions of Article 8, Article 13 or contrary to any regulation given pursuant to Article 10, Articles 11 and 12, will be held for a period of 6 months, commencing on the day of the judgment has become irrevocable, the convicted have no authority to hunt and the convict's hunting license will be revoked.
Extract of the sentence is sent to the District Commissioner at the place of residence and abode of the convicted person, to the District Commissioner who has issued a hunting act or license and to the Nature Conservation Commission.
Article 19: The offenses made punishable in or pursuant to this Act are considered to be violations.
Article 21: The prosecution of an offense made punishable by or pursuant to this Act, which, in the opinion of the Director or a forest management officer authorized by him, has been committed under circumstances that justify a fine, can be prevented by voluntary payment of a transaction fine to be determined by the Director or official, and the costs arising from the discovery of the criminal offense.
The official authorized to impose a transaction fine will thereby issue a receipt signed by him, stating the name and address of the offender, as well as the nature, time and place of the offense.
The payment relieves the offender from any further criminal prosecution for the act committed, without prejudice to his liability for any damage.
Article 6: Violation of this Act shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding one month or a fine not exceeding one hundred guilders.
Article 9: Investigating officers shall at all times have the power to confiscate susceptible items.
They can do request their delivery.
The seized fish shall be released, where it regards living fish, are released into the by the Attorney General designated fishing waters. Where it regards dead fish, it can be made available by him to establishments of charity."
