21; The Director shall, for the purpose of disease control and animal and animal product traceability, use an animal and animal product identification system that allows for the tracing of animals and animal products from origin to end-user for the purpose of disease control.
3; This Act applies in respect of animals declared by the Minister by notice in the Gazette.
8; Notwithstanding section (7), the Minister by statutory instrument, prescribe the identification marks in respect of each group of animals to which marks may be allocated under section (7).

22(1); The Minister may, by statutory instrument, make regulations for the better carrying out of the provisions of this Act. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1) the regulations made pursuant to that subsection may provide for- (a) forms in which applications for and certificates of registration shall be made; (b) form and manner of giving any notice required by this Act; (c) the form in which any transfer of the right to any registered identification mark shall be effected; (d) the size, shape, pattern and composition of identification marks [...]

18(1); An owner of an animal suspected of being infected with a disease shall- (a) as far as is practicable , keep such an animal apart from other animals that are not infected; (b) prevent the movement of such animal outside of the infected area, and; (c) prevent the sale of such an animal. (2) A Veterinary Officer shall, for the purpose of isolating animals in an infected area- (a) require the owner of the infected animals within the infected area to isolate infected animals from other animals; (b) regulate the movement of animals within the infected area; (c) cause any animal in the infected area to be marked for the purpose of identification.
