Article 19:
1. Only live animals intended for slaughter shall be brought into a slaughter facility, with the exception of animals which have been subjected to emergency slaughter outside the slaughter facility in accordance with Article 23.
2. The landings of the animals shall be in accordance with the animal welfare regulations and the sanitary rules for the transport of animals.
3. In a slaughter facility, animals shall be treated in accordance with the rules laid down by State Order on the handling of animals in the slaughter facility, as well as on the stunning and slaughter of animals for slaughter.
4. By Ministerial Order of the Minister, on the recommendation of the Head, further regulations may be laid down with regard to the provisions of paragraph 3.
