3(1) A person who- (a) shall cruelly beat, kick, ill-treat, over-ride, overload or torture any animal or shall cause any animal to be used, or shall drive any animal which is so diseased […] (b) shall convey or carry, or cause to procure, or being the owner, permit to be conveyed or carried, any animal in such a manner or position as to cause that animal any unnecessary suffering; ...shall be guilty of cruelty and of an offense under this Act [...]
8(1); In all cases where the offender is not in custody and where proceedings are instituted under this Act, it shall be lawfull for the court to issue a summons directed to- (a) the employer of any driver or conductor of any vehicle against whom proceedings have are instituted under this Act; (b) the owner of an animal in respect of which any proceedings are instituted under this Act; requiring him, as the case may be, and if in his power so to do, to produce the driver or the conductor at the hearing of the case, or the animal for inspection (if such can be done without cruelty) either at or any time before the hearing of the case.
No wild animal shall be transported in a manner which in the opinion of the wildlife police officer or honorary wildlife police officer is likely to cause injury or cruelty to the animal
10(2); The Management Directorate shall ensure that all living specimens, during any period of transit, holding or shipment, are cared for in such a manner as to minimise the risk of injury, damage to health or cruel treatment.
35; The Management Directorate may waive requirements of an import or export or re-export certificate and allow the movement of specimens which forms part of a travelling zoo, circus, managerie, plant exhibition, or other travelling exhibition: provided that- [...] (c) the Management Authority is satisfied that any living specimen will be transported and cared for in such a manner as to minimise the risk of injury, damage to health or cruel treatment.

33(1); A transporter of animals shall be in possession of a movement permit authorising the conveyance of such animals. (2) The Minister may, by statutory instrument, make regulations for the purposes of regulating and controlling the mode and manner in which animals shall be transported.

3(3); The Minister may, from time to time by statutory instrument, make regulations as to the supply of food and water to animals while in the custody of a railway company for the purpose of being conveyed by train, and any railway company which fails to cause food and water to be supplied to any animal in accordance with such regulations, and any officer of such company who, having been charged with the duty of supplying food and water to any animal in accordance with such regulations, wilfully neglects to fulfil such duty shall be guilty of cruelty and of an offence under this Act and shall, on conviction, be liable to the penalties prescribed by this section.
